Hey Vinny,
maybe my vote doesn’t count because I don’t know if you meant to send me emails in South Dakota, but I just wanted to let you know that I still remember you guys. I read your emails and pray for you. I remembered that you tried to grow a beard a few years ago and I think I told you that you looked like you were living under a bridge or something else stupid! So sorry about that, but I figured I could be more constructive this time. I remember you told me once that one of your favorite saints was St. Vincent De Paul. It would be cool if you could use your beard to do something positive that was in your control like a Vinny for St. Vincent give-athon I know there are many big things to fix in the world, but Mother Teresa said something like: you start to change the world by doing the small things around you one at a time. Well, we don’t have a St. Vincent De Paul Society up here in where I live, which seems very weird to me. There is just a different way of helping up here I guess, but any way, if you tried to raise money for SVDP or some specific thing your beard might be a cool, powerful way to do it.

Hey, hey Vinny,
I’m really enjoying your blogs. There is so much you could grow your beard for – freedom for life for the unborn, freedom for prayer in public places – especially our schools, freedom for our teens to live morally without being crucified by other peers, freedom from proverty, freedom from addictions – the list goes on and on. But I guess these are all ongoing chains we need to pray for so you might have a beard down to your ankles if you chose one of these. So I would say, a fight would be that we as a community, a church, a nation would celebrate the Paschal Mystery this Holy Week and truly experience Christs resurrection in our life. Wish I could see you with your beard.
