YOUTH MINISTRY PROGRAM IS BACK!!!

 

Fr. Darrin Merlino has returned to Sacred Heart Parish! After a 10-year absence, our former Youth Minister - Fr. Darrin - is back and ready to start taking suggestions and input from teens as to what they'd like to see in our Youth Group relaunch.

TEENS - please join him with all your ideas for the future at the Youth Center (444 Carondolet, next to the Masonic Cemetery on the Church property) just about every Sunday, right after the 5 PM Youth Mass. Also, post suggestions on our Facebook page or email us at YouthMinistry@SacredHeartPrescott.com. We hope to see everyone back, their friends, and youth that are entirely new to the group.

"Encounter: Experiencing God in the Everyday"

Edgers, come join us on an encounter with God through the Bible!

The dates will be Monday - Friday, July 15 - 19, 2013 from 12:00 PM Noon - 3:00 PM in the Youth Center. The fee is only $15.00 for the week and includes a workbook to keep, snacks, and prizes. Encounter: Experiencing God in the Everyday is more than a Bible study program. It is a life-changing experience that speaks directly to the hearts and minds of middle-school-aged kids. Designed specifically for 6th to 8th grades, Encounter uses the color-coded Bible Timeline learning system to reveal the story of our faith and God’s plan for our lives. As your youth are drawn into this story they will come to a new and profound understanding of who God is. One of our teens in youth ministry just sent us a picture of the Sacred Heart of Jesus while she's visiting Santa Fe, New Mexico today. It was in the Loretto Chapel that has the famous St. Joseph’s Staircase.

Parenting at all stages has its blessings and its challenges. The teen years are no exception, but we have to learn how to see the blessings and work through the challenges differently with our teens than with little ones. WHAT’S THIS???

A QR Code is a barcode on steroids. It can automatically take you to a website, Facebook page, Google Map, email address, or whatever there is on the internet.

 

HOW CAN I USE THEM?

There are a lot of free apps in the iPhone/Android App Store that can read QR Codes. Most Android phones and BlackBerries are able to read the codes right out of the box. All you need to do is launch the appropriate app, and point your phone's camera at the QR code you want to scan.

YOUNG ADULT MASS

The Young Adult Mass has ended for Spring Semester 2013, but will return in the Fall.

We will meet again at Haas Chapel at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU.) In the Fall, we hope to see returning Young Adults and/or college students and new faces, too!
